I haven't posted for a while, I have been concentrating on other things. I write poetry and am preparing a book. Unfortunately my business takes quite a bit of my time. Phew, last year was a blur. It is amazing how quickly the years pass by, maybe it is my age, maybe I am too busy.
Anyway, I have much more to say, I am here for many years yet. Times are changing, the world is hurting and we have responsibility to put it right if we can. Mother Earth is biting us and we are responsible, maybe we can change this or maybe we are too used to what we do to even try.
I wrote this many years ago, I hope you enjoy it.
WATER SPEAKS
The water speaks in sweetest sound
Of raindrops dancing on the ground
Soothing us in whispered calm
Such gentle tones that do no harm
It travels from the mighty seas
To feed the plants and grow the trees
A simple task of Nature’s way
To seed the world the quickest way
For Spirit and Nature had a plan
To make a world for life of man
And waters task, to mix with ground
So spirit of man could walk around
A magic mix of sea and earth
For Gods in play to find their worth
And man and Nature lived as one
In spiritual truth with no harm done
Relation struck and the link was kind
Till man felt fear inside his mind
And then his thoughts did turn to hate
Then man and God did separate
When man has no respect for earth
Nature calls her elements worth
And water is the first to say
You disrespect; its time to pay
The gentle rain that soothes the mind
Can blacken skies and drown our kind
And water knows we cause much pain
And when to rise its seas again
Water is most of you and me
It fills each river and mighty sea
We must respect the waters truth
And keep it pure for mankind’s youth
Arrogance is how we think
We take for granted what we drink
And if we continue pollution and war
We’ll be reminded of what happened before
When man did hear the change of sound
No longer gentle it beat the ground
With electric skies and fearsome roar
As mighty breakers pounded shore
What we do, it makes no sense
Doing always has a consequence
We hurt the earth until it cries
And it’s not the earth but man that dies
Nature’s element and one of four
Merged with a second to give it a roar
Two to remind us there’s little more chance
To stop the pain or four will dance
